At the heart of the Driver Connect Mobile App is messaging.
Drivers can send two types of notifications:
- Urgent Alerts for situations requiring immediate attention
- Breakdown Alerts using pre-defined, company-configured message options
Messages are sent via cellular connectivity when available. If cellular service is unavailable, the app can leverage nearby TGI Connect SmartOne satellite devices to attempt delivery over satellite.
All messages are delivered to designated company contacts via email and SMS, providing operations teams with timely visibility without requiring drivers to make phone calls or navigate multiple systems.
Drivers receive confirmation when messages are successfully sent, reinforcing confidence that their communication reached the office.
Structured Messaging for the Back Office
Breakdown alerts are fully configurable within the TGI Connect MCM platform. Companies can create up to 255 pre-defined message options, organized by categories and subcategories such as tires, transmission, or personal issues.
This structure ensures consistent, actionable information reaches the right teams without relying on free-form texts or incomplete details.
